Yes, if you're studying, apply for a student visa which is valid for 2 months and extendable fo afew times... If youre not willing to stay that long, apply for a visitors visa which is only 1 month. They're very strict though with that whole story though. Good luck!

I am not sure how long you have had the green card.

If you haven't reached certain years, Taiwan government may not issue you any visa.

If you are a US citizen, then you don't need a vsia for short visit. But, since you are not a US citizen yet, you need a visa to visit Taiwan.
