If you have access to any chinese newspaper (US published Chinatown paper, for example), they chinese travel agency will usually have a good price.
But, I wouldn't rule out looking for http://travel.yahoo.com
also, I use http://www.sidestep.com
Both are good.

You get what you pay for. Stuff from Taiwan always has hidden costs. Personally, I'd skip the trip and save a bundle. Working your way over on a Sail boat package out of Sanfrancisco will save you a few dollars, but you can develop calluses mounting the rigging and fishing for Marlin by hand. Rent the video!

I just got my ticket to Taipei a few weeks ago via Expedia. Try different online places..orbitz, priceline etc. Once you get the quotes, go directly to the flightlines website and see if you can get it much cheaper. This might save you additional fees that agents charge!!Good luck!

From LAX, you're looking at abour $850.
Have you tried Yahoo! Travel, Travelocity, and Priceline.com? Those are the sites I use to find cheap tickets. Oh, also www.cheaptickets.com! Good luck!

You always can find the cheaper tickets in CHINATOWN. Try to find Chinese agents, you can get good priced tickets. Otherwise, go to http://travel.sina.com/new/tickets.html , This is the best price on internet.
