peanutz explained it good. Ask the airlines, but i heard if your bike is lighter than 20kg than it's for free.Just check it in as luggage.
My friend traveled to china with his bike. His bike was 12 kg, his luggage 8kg.He just checked in the bike and luggage without extra cost. pedals should be taken off, the steer be turn, air out of the tires and sometimes you have to buy special carton bike box.

marketplace forces dictate that there is a call for for both bicycles and airplanes. consequently both live to tell the tale and evolve. Bicycles occupy the quick distance vacation monetary area of interest, at the same time as airplanes fill the lengthy distance vacation monetary area of interest. yet i think that you're being rhetorical. If airplanes are intelligently designed, why do such an outstanding style of crash? clarify that!

Do you mean in the cabin? No. If you mean can you check a bicycle as baggage, then the answer is yes, if it is in a bike case or a box. You can usually stuff bike cases with other stuff as well.

Transatlantic: counts as one suitcase.
Domestic in the US: 80 bucks, one way. Ridiculous!
You have to pack it in a box, but you can usually get one easily at any bicycle store, because that's how they get their bikes. Need to take pedals and sometimes steer off.

Easyjet, an european airline, charge around $50 (35 pounds)to take things like bikes and skis for you. So yes it is possible with many airlines. You dont have to disassemble it thats absurd! you wouldnt get through customs with bits of metal in your luggage!

Sure you can. You have to check it in and it must be packed compact. Tires should not be fully inflated. If you can break it up, all the better. If not, see if you can do some pre-packing.

OMG no, are you trying to take it to tw or from!
for one thing its too big.
You either bring a dissasembled one in a bike box or you just buy one there. Realistically, you should get that uber cool military mountain bike that colds up to the size of a luggage. That might past muster.
